If you have time in the middle of the day to help continue the awesome culture at Minerva Elementary School by helping students have a safe and fun lunch and recess experience- this is the job for you! The Minerva Strong Scholarship Race and Walk has been moved to tomorrow morning, Saturday, July 18th. While we won't be running under the stadium lights on Friday night as originally planned, we are bringing all that incredible community energy to Saturday morning!

Today we celebrated the dedication of the Pat and RC Miller Bridge at Municipal Park!
Thank you to the Village of Minerva and Stark Parks for their vision, partnership, and hard work in making this outstanding project a reality.
This bridge is used every day by our students and community youth as they enjoy one of Minerva’s beautiful parks. It is only fitting that the bridge bears the names of Pat and RC Miller.
The Miller family’s impact on Minerva Local Schools and our community is immeasurable. Their generosity, commitment, and support have touched countless lives and helped make Minerva a better place for generations of students.
We are incredibly grateful for everything the Miller family has done for our schools and our community. Congratulations on this well-deserved honor!

Minerva Local Schools' Strong Spring 2026 Test Scores and Rising Attendance Rates: Preliminary Data

Minerva Local Schools recently received preliminary data from the Spring 2026 Ohio State Test (OST) administration; district leadership is excited about the early results!
The Ohio State Tests are standardized assessments used to measure student mastery of Ohio’s Learning Standards across grades 3–8 and high school end-of-course exams.
Minerva Local demonstrated academic growth: students scored proficient or above at a rate higher than the State average in 16 of 18 State-tested areas (with grade three results still pending). This data is an increase from Spring 2025 results, in which we were proficient or above at a rate higher than the State average in 13 of 18 State-tested areas.
The district's academic success goes hand in hand with student engagement. Driven by the district mission statement, "Every child, every minute, every day," Minerva Local Schools saw its overall student attendance rate climb to 95.9% for the 2025–2026 school year, a 2% increase over last school year. While only 2%, it is huge growth and has required regular communication and collaboration with our families.
Minerva Local appreciates the hard work of our students, teachers, administration, and support staff. Thank you to our supportive parents and community who take great pride in our students and school district.

🦁🚌 Minerva Bus Drivers Attend S.T.A.R.T. School Bus Safety Training
On Tuesday, June 2, our Minerva bus drivers participated in the S.T.A.R.T. School Bus Safety Program at Sandy Valley High School. Law enforcement officers provided valuable training on the most effective techniques and best practices to help keep our students safe every day.
It was a productive day of learning and collaboration that made the best bus driving staff in the state even stronger!
A special thank you to all of our bus drivers for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to providing Minerva students with the safest and best possible transportation experience. We appreciate everything you do for our students and community.
