Our 8th graders have had a busy week! On Tuesday, they spent the day exploring and learning about the history of our hometown, Minerva.
Students visited the Historical Society, Roxy Theater, Hart Mansion, Main Street, City Hall, Kishman's IGA, the Police Station, the First House, Normandy Inn, Valley Street, Veterans Park, Bicentennial Park, Minerva Dairy, and Brock Park.
It was a beautiful day filled with learning, community, and hometown pride as students discovered what makes Minerva such a special place. No place better! 🦁❤️
A special thank you to all of the local businesses, volunteers, and community members who helped make this trip possible and took the time to share the history and heart of our town with our students. We appreciate your support and generosity!

Today, Mr. Costea took his 8th grade gym classes to the legendary Pro Football Hall of Fame for the annual Visual Edge IT Get-Fit Training Camp.
Students had an amazing opportunity to stay active, build teamwork skills, and participate in fitness activities on the Hall of Fame Village campus right next to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It was a great day filled with fun and fitness. #minervapride 🦁

We kicked off our Staff Appreciation Week today! We may be a week behind because of 6th Grade Camp, but our students came ready to celebrate our amazing staff.
Today, student council washed 24 cars in just 2 hours, staff enjoyed a small gift from us, and we started our annual staff quizzes. Congratulations to Mr. Costea for being our first quiz winner!

Our Student Council members worked hard creating signs for Lion Games! 🦁 The students made personalized signs featuring each participant’s favorite things, and they did an amazing job. Our Lion Games were held on May 6th for Mr. E’s class, and what an amazing day it was for our students! The rain did not slow them down one bit. 🦁🌧️

Day 2 of 6th Grade Camp was a blast! The kids were awesome, and we packed in so many fun activities. We’re pretty sure there were some very tired students, parents, and staff by the end of the day! A huge thank you to Elkhorn Valley Camp for helping make this camp such a great experience. A special thank you to our parent chaperones who attended camp and helped make the trip so successful. We hope everyone made amazing memories that will last a lifetime! #minervapride 🦁
