Your journey to Minerva High School begins now! We are excited to invite our current 8th-grade students and their families to the MHS Scheduling Open House.
🗓 Date: Monday, January 26th, 2026 🕒 Time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM 📍 Location: Minerva High School
This is your chance to get a head start on your high school experience. During the open house, you can:
🚶♂️ Tour the building and get familiar with the halls.
🎨 Preview elective options to find your passions.
👩🏫 Meet your future teachers and school counselors.
🏐 Explore clubs and extracurricular activities.

Our Wrestling team took down Salem 66-18 last night. This win brings the team’s EBC record to 2-0 and overall team record to 5-1 on the season. Our Middle School boys will be traveling to Lake Saturday January 10th to wrestle at the Lake Invitational and our Middle School girls will be Traveling to Fredricktown Sunday January 11th to compete in the Freddie Invitational. Our Wrestling team won a close match to West Branch Warriors Thursday night with a final score of 49-48 winning the dual on criteria! The Lions start there EBC conference record 1-0 going into Christmas Break! Congrats to Drew Murdock, Brent Sivy, Esmae Morris, Jaydin Miller, Quinton Carpenter, and Matthew Cline on picking up crucial pins to help secure the victory! #minervapride 🦁

Our 7 Days of Giving has been a huge success, and we are so proud of our students.
Congratulations to the students who raised the most money. They will be getting a pie in the face tomorrow during the Lip Sync Battle. For the first time, we have several ties, which means we’ll see both siblings getting pied. This should be a fun one to watch.
We also want to give a big shoutout to our school . Our goal was $1,000 to see Mr. Morckel and Mr. Hudson get pied in the face, and together we raised an amazing $1,500. WOW!
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support this cause. Every dollar raised will go directly to the Minerva Salvation Army. Your generosity truly makes a difference. #minervapride 🦁

🎁 Members of the Minerva Rotary have an annual tradition in honor of the late Rev. Dr. Franklin Trubee of providing gifts to students in our resource rooms across the District. 37 students were excited to enjoy breakfast from our MMS cafeteria staff, music courtesy of our 7th grade band and choir, and a special visitor from the North Pole! Thank you Minerva Rotarians for being incredible community partners!

Today marked Doug’s last day as he retires after 20 dedicated years in maintenance for Minerva Local Schools. Doug always took great pride in his work, and his commitment and care made a lasting impact on our schools and community. He will be greatly missed!

Saturday the 13th, our MMS Wrestlers competed at the Jackson Holiday Classic to kick off their season. As a team they took 3rd place and went 3-1 on the day. Our Lions beat Austintown Blue 81-9, lost a close one to Jackson 47-48, beat Hudson 46-42, and beat Glenn Oak in their finals match 45-35. Our Lions will be taking on the West Branch Warriors this Thursday at Minerva High School at 5pm. Come out and support! Go Lions! #minervapride 🦁
